In this post I will be sharing information about blogging and guide you to create a blog for free. Blogging is popular as now only because of free blogging platforms available for everyone. There were only websites in internet before blogs come. Websites were less interactive and were not frequently updated. Also to maintain a website one should know technical stuffs to host his website and should have knowledge to edit web pages using markup languages and programming. So without knowledge about mark up language like HTML, it was a tedious task for a normal person to run a website. And so websites were owned by enterprises and other business firms only. As more and more people start using internet and people were in need of sharing their on views in internet as it is medium where one can reach many people all around the world, blogs come to the scene.
There are two types blogs, self hosted blog and hosted by the one who give the blogging service software.
Now WordPress and Blogger are two platforms famous for blogging even though many other websites started offering free blogging before them. Blogger is owned by Google, Wordpress is a powerful blogging platform which was made only for blogging. Now WordPress is CMC(content management system) rather than a blogging platform. So here in this blog I will be talking mainly about wordpress and blogger.

For self hosted wordpress blog you can download wordpress CMS sofware from http://wordpress.com and install in your own server.
Other free blogging platforms are weebly.com, blog.com, tumblr.com etc.
